Synthetic Tectonics

Synthetic Tectonics 4

ST 4 is a 3’x3’ wall hung screen crafted with parametric software and laser cutting.

The relief pattern acts as a variable screen when viewed at an angle, but becomes fully transparent head-on. The ripples cause a visual noise that only allow glimpses of what’s beyond.

Materials: plywood, acrylic.

Tools: parametric software, laser cutter.
